We’ve awarded $155,000 in grants to our members this year!

We’re thrilled to announce that 2016 has been one of our largest re-granting years to date. In total, the National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC) has distributed $155,000 in funds back to our member organizations this year. Congratulations to this year’s recipients!


Included in these funds are our capacity building grants. We are so pleased to announce that we have once again made a total of $40,000 in grants to our member organizations to help support their organizational capacity! Below, find a list of the recipient organizations. 

2016 NNAAC Capacity Building Grant Recipients:

Access California Services, Anaheim, CA - $7,000 to support a strategic planning consultant
Access of Western New York, Lackawanna, NY - $7,000 to support a fiscal audit
Alif Institute, Atlanta, GA - $7,000 to support a strategic planning consultant
Arab American Action Network, Chicago, IL - $3,000 to support a marketing and communications position
Arab American Community Center, Orlando, FL - $3,500 to support a strategic planning consultant
Arab American Cultural and Community Center, Houston, TX - $800 to support equipment and supplies for the start-up of a refugee program
Arab-American Family Support Center, Brooklyn, NY - $4,800 to support implementation of a performance measurement system
Center for Arabic Culture, Somerville, MA - $5,060 to support a marketing intern and the purchase of media equipment
Somali Family Services, San Diego, CA - $2,840 to support a marketing consultant
