Somali Community Services was founded in 2005. The mission of SCS is to enhance the quality of life for low-income individuals residing in Santa Clara County. Their primary goal is to provide client services which assist refugees in adjusting to American norms and their new community with the least possible erosion of their family and cultural well-being. Services are focused on student after-school and summer programming to develop academic skills, behaviors and attitudes in academically motivated and underserved middle school children.
