NNAAC joins Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights
The National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC) is now a proud member of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the nation’s premier civil and human rights coalition.
As a member of The Leadership Conference, NNAAC will join a unified voice of more than 200 member organizations contributing to the mutual goal of a more open and just society.
“We are thrilled to join The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and be a part of this longstanding, premier leader on the issues so relevant to our nation today,” said Nadia Tonova, NNAAC Director. “NNAAC has been at the forefront of civil and human rights for several years. By joining The Leadership Conference, we can better serve our community by raising our voices in a more strategic way and building partnerships with other national organizations.”
The Leadership Conference’s mission is to promote the enactment and enforcement of effective civil and human rights legislation and policy. Its Education Fund builds public will for such legislation through campaigns that empower and mobilize advocates around the country.
The Leadership Conference coalition members are a part of a unique community of individuals who provide daily encouragement and mentorship to help each organization stay focused and motivated to advance its policy goals.
The National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC), a project of ACCESS, is a national consortium of independent Arab American community-based organizations. Its mission is the development of Arab American community-based nonprofit organizations that understand, meet the needs and represent the concerns of Arab Americans at a local level while collectively addressing those issues at a national level.
