Service Day Recap
We’re proud to share that the 2015 National Arab American Service Day was a success! Nearly 2,000 volunteers nationwide took part in 18 projects organized by 23 organizations in 17 cities and the District of Columbia.
Each participating city organized a unique project responding to the different community needs.
For example, over 300 volunteers in Detroit, in partnership with DTE Energy and the Resource Community Development Corporation, helped board up nine houses in a blighted neighborhood, cleared empty lots and the area around the homes and mowed the lawn near Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Detroit.
