Join SAALT and NNAAC for Capitol Hill Briefing
Interested in learning more about the hostile climate South Asian, Muslim, Sikh, and Arab American communities increasingly face in the US and in our political sphere? Join South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) and NNAAC for a briefing on Capitol Hill at Tuesday, Sept. 9th, at 10:30am.
At the briefing, you'll hear more about SAALT’s forthcoming report, Under Suspicion, Under Attack, which documents nearly 160 reports of xenophobic political rhetoric and hate violence within the last three years and identifies trends, impact, and better practices to address these issues.
Linda Sarsour, NNAAC's National Advocacy Director, will be among a panel of experts discussing trends in xenophobic political rhetoric and hate crimes targeting these communities, and highlighting better practices for government, community leaders, organizations, and the media.
